I was so excited to listen to the speech about how to improve English, which is given by Doctor Lee. As she said that Strategically, as we are in a non-English speaking country, the only way to improve English is to use it. As they say, you either use it or lose it. That is why I insist that the key to improve English is just to stay motivated, keep working on it and keep practicing it. Think of it as a goal you are working towards, and just stay focus, you can do it. You see, I watch English videos and listen to English audios; read English books, magazines and newspapers; surf the Internet in English; speak English and write English – all that really keep me busy every day! Reading is your easiest way to 'feel' English. It is not painful, but helps a lot. There are too many materials for you to read and you must select those you find useful, appropriate and have interest in. Besides printed materials, you can also do Web reading. You can learn English quickly by seeing English movies frequently, or watching English television and videos daily. Pick shows that interest you and try to imitate how they pronounce the words. Try to listen to some English songs and sing along with it whenever possible. If you are really poor in English, try to find English movies with subtitles. But tactically, as 'all roads lead to Rome', She believes there should be many ways to polish your English

I still remember vividly my last trip to QingHai Lake in May. The plane was delayed, and it took me a long time to find a taxi downtown. I spent twice the price as in usual days to rent a jeep to drive to the lake. When I arrived, I found the Great Yellow Fish, the delicious endangered fish, was eaten up by other tourists. On the way back, a car accident blocked the road, so I spent over six hours waiting and it was almost 2:00 am when I was back to the hotel. I can hardly say the trip was great and such case was not rare among my friends traveling on that May holidays. It is unwise to travel on holidays because so many traffic jams waiting for you

I hated to go to library before I went to college, because I thought it is not so useful as teachers told us. I changed my minds when I was a freshman. Entering college means I have a large number of free time which I really did not how to deal with. One day I borrowed a book from the library which is located in the south of our college and not too high. I found do many students there looking for materials and writing essay. It is o shock for me. Gradually I found that there was a collection of different books including the history, chemistry and literature. It is a good place to kill time. I fell in love with the library from that time on.

As a result, it is hard to say whether cell phone is good or not for us, but it is true that almost nobody can live without it.

My grandfather is a very helpful teacher, not only for his students, but also for me, his only grand daughter.we often talk a lot about different things,I can always learn something from him.Especially Every time when I have to make an important decision, I will ask my grandfather for some suggestions. Last month I was standing at the cross of my life again. I got an offer from a university of Australia. But according to the offer, I was required to get a high score in IELTS test which is really hard for me. At the same time, I also got another offer from a Chinese uni( 国外对大学的简称，放心使用，很好很强大). I do not have to take any test for that university but I have no interests to go there either. I asked my grandfather which my best choice is. He said every way is a good way if I could run fast. Then I know what I should do. So this is my grandfather, he is just like a superstar in my heart

Well, l like travelling and have already been to many historical place, but today I want to say something about The Yellow River Scenic Area, which is the headstream of Chinese culture. It is so great to see the fantastic view I have never seen. The Yellow River Scenic Area is situated northwest of Zhengzhou City, 30 kilometers away from downtown, in Henan Province. The scenic area is surprisingly beautiful. As seen from a high point in this scenic area, the mighty Yellow River rushes by and demonstrates tremendous force with rolling and falling of the river′s torrents. Sometimes in its thousands of miles, the river reaches wide endless plains where currents flow smoothly, and sometimes it meets precipitous mountains where it has to zigzag its way. Really, traveling can purify our soul.

As to the childhood, I would like to share one with you one of my happy experiences. When I was in primary school, the activity of visiting museum in my city was held by our school. There were so many antiquities of Song Dynasty in the museum, such as Bian embroider, jade stone and so on. We were all shocked by the things that were never seen before. The language I am interested in the most is French. I have never heard any other language that is as beautiful as french.My grandfather used to be to France and since then he became a big fan of French songs, when I was a small kid my grandfather always held me on his knee ,humming with the french songs, I would fall into sweet sleep.Sometimes he would tell me stroies and teach me some simple french words.Beause of my childhood memory, Frech becomes a mysterious simble for me..Another reason that I want to learn French is that French is one of the most romantic countries in my viewpoint. There are lots of sports facilities,today the one I want to talk about is treadmill(跑步机).Treadmill is very ubiquitous/common in gyms.Its function is to let people run in a really small space indoor, which is very convinient for us who live in the crowded downtown. Running indoor for a few minutes is very good for people’s health. Several years go, we can only see treadmills in some foreign moives,but as the fast pace of the economy development, now it is more and more common for mid—class families to buy treadmills.And another thing we can see from getting treadmills is that people are paying more and more attention to keep a good health condition.

I would like to talk about my hometown Kaifeng City. You know, I was born there, so I loved the place very much. The house which we lived in was not a big one with about only 20 square meters. However, the special thing for it was that it was a bungalow which was very different from the storied one because the neighbors always knew each other very well and the relationships among the neighbors were always good. Now, we still contact with each other just like relatives even though we were separated.
Every time I go home, I will go there to have a look though the house is not there now, because I really miss the days of my childhood.

There are always so many annoying advertisements on TV, such as medicine, computer and food. But some of them are really interesting. A girl in the train was looking outside the train with her beautiful and worrying eyes. She found a worker was working hard along the rail way. It’s a hot day; we could imagine from the camera that the worker must be very thirsty. Then the girl gives her spring water to the worker gently with lovely smile. The work also smiles. Although this advertisement does not show how fantastic the product is. I could feel that it must be very sweet.
